Customer StoriesSending Fresh Mangoes to Mumbai: Swati's Delivery Story
The hardest part of selling fresh fruit is not growing it. It is getting it to someone hundreds of kilometres away and having it arrive the way it left the farm. This is the story of one box that went from our South India farm to Swati's door in the Mumbai region, and exactly what it took to get it there.

Why Swati ordered
Swati found us the way a lot of first-time customers do. She saw on the site that we send natural, farm mangoes and ordered a box for her family. She was honest that she was skeptical at the start. It was her first time ordering fruit online, and we were shipping it from a long way off. That doubt is fair, and it is exactly the thing a fresh-fruit order has to earn rather than assume.
How we sent it
Here is the part most fruit sellers never show you. We packed the mangoes firm, not fully ripe, so they could take the journey and finish ripening at Swati's home over the next day or two rather than bruising on the way. The box is a vented carton with breathing holes on every side, and the fruit sits cushioned in dry hay so nothing knocks around in transit.
Because fresh fruit does not have time to waste, we sent it by Blue Dart Air, not surface transport. It left the farm on 10 May 2026 headed for Vasai East. The one thing we asked Swati, the same thing we tell everyone: give the mangoes a day or two to rest after they arrive, and they reach their peak sweetness on their own.
What arrived
The box reached Vasai in perfect condition. Swati told us the mangoes were beautifully packed, with zero damage in transit, and that the taste was, in her words, absolutely incredible. For a first-time online fruit buyer who started out unsure, that is the whole job done: the doubt at the start, and the fruit that answered it.
In Swati's words
"I saw on their website that they provide natural mangoes, so I ordered a box for my family. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical at first since it was my first time ordering fruit online, especially from so far away. But when the mangoes arrived, they were in perfect condition and beautifully packaged with zero damage. The taste was absolutely incredible! Thank you, Tarulease. Can't wait for the next season!"

Why this matters if you are in Mumbai
Fresh fruit shipped across the country is only worth it if it arrives right. That comes down to three things: picking at the correct stage, packing for the journey, and moving it fast enough that time is not the enemy. If you are in Mumbai and want real farm mango instead of something off a cold-storage shelf, this is what the experience actually looks like, label and all.
That same care is how we ship corporate gifts. The picking, packing, and fast-transit discipline behind Swati's box is exactly what makes a company gift arrive right, to one office or a hundred addresses. If you are gifting to a team or clients, this is the delivery standard behind every basket. See our corporate gifting baskets → | Get a bulk quote →
